PLUTO integrates native Database connectivity for MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreeSQL, OSISOFT PI, GE PROFICY Historian, SIEMENS DESIGO and more to come. Once connected, users can visualize the overall database structure to easily incorporate data into the project. Moreover, PLUTO leverages both data tables and virtual tables (Views). It also facilitates project configuration work by enabling the user to create, delete and clean tables directly without using the database's configuration tools.

PLUTO also integrates OPC Clients (DA & UA) and Web services drivers like SIGFOX to collect data in real time. Combined with PLUTO Historian, it enables to log raw data from real time sources such as RTU, PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS systems, etc. To avoid complex DCOM configuration with OPC DA servers, PLUTO includes a free OPC DA networking Bridge. 


PLUTO Historian can log thousands of data per second through configurable logging groups. Users can define for each group the tag list, the logging conditions but also the database and the table destination. It acts as a real EII (Enterprise Information Integration) or a PIM (Plant Information management) system. For each group definition, PLUTO enables the user to display the database table preview to control that data are logged accordingly.


To create reports of alarms, the alarm generator must allow for each alarm generated an accurate alarm message bounded with advanced attributes. PLUTO ALARM GENERATOR fulfills this vision by creating alarms with clear text messages, tag values, priority field, duration field and multiple custom attributes such as alarm type, category, location, zone…. Attributes are configurable by project. Those attributes will constitute a group of advanced filtering functions to count, extract and visualize series of alarms in multiple objects such as Tables, Pie charts, Bars, etc.


The objective is to combine in mathematical expressions, queries from different tags located in the same or in different databases with potentially different time periods. It gives the possibility to extract, calculate and compare valuable information and log the result anywhere. Thus, each set of statistics can be archived in different databases to feed data tables for PLUTO reports or for other applications (BI, MES, ERP...). PLUTO STATISTICAL MODULE is a powerful tool enabling the user to easily calculate key indicators such as OEE, KPI, etc.


Aggregating Data from historians and real time sources can quickly become a nightmare. Each data source has its own naming logic and, most of time, has been done by and for automation engineers. As a result, most people can't create accurate reports because they simply don't know which data belongs to which information. PLUTO SMART BROWSER enables the user to build a new naming organization with all data from all sources. It will be possible, for example, to drop tags from different sources in a new folder and rename each tag with a clear name that everyone can understand and use. The report configuration will use this new naming convention to make the application accessible to all.


PLUTO REPORT EDITOR is based on Microsoft WPF technology. WPF stands for "Windows Presentation Foundation" the new rich graphics engine for Windows operating systems. The benefit for users is to get perfectly designed reports and very simple configuration interfaces to define time periods and report objects. PLUTO supports animated Gif, Jpeg, Png and Bmp images and integrates a large population of vector objects to design professional reports.

PLUTO enables to visualize Dashboards through the MONITORING Mode. Users can define many Dashboard sreens and play them continuously in large screens. Multiple screens can be connected together to ONE PLUTO Server to execute different Views.


PLUTO LIVE EXECUTION introduces a new vision for automation reports with the Live mode. By using PLUTO dashboards, users will be able to interact with their reports to play or play back reports dynamically from any PLUTO CLIENT connected to the server. The playback mode also enables the user to play reports from the past STEP by STEP continuously enabling one to easily visulaize process deviations and capture the exact time when a problem occurs.


PLUTO SERVER executes automatically XPS, PDF or XLS reports when an event occurs, on schedule and on user demand. Once generated, reports can be automatically distributed to multiple targets, such as emails and file servers ... 


PLUTO WEB REPORT and PLUTO REPORT VIEWER enables the user to rapidly SEARCH, VISUALIZE and COMPARE reports archived in the Server. The information and the reports are no longer hidden but accessible to everyone anytime, anywhere. It's also possible to generate and insert reports on demand in the report repository. This functionality is often used to generate new reports, lost reports or to simply generate reports with data logged a long time ago.


PLUTO4Office is an add in, that enables directly from EXCEL to connect any PLUTO SERVER and map all objects defined in reports to create XLS report templates. Users can save the templates in the PLUTO SERVER that will automatically execute XLS reports, on demand, on schedule or on event.
